The Vivia is ReSound's first device to move away from standard digital processing toward a Dual-Chip architecture. It separates the "hearing" tasks from the "AI" tasks so the sound stays snappy.

• Dedicated AI Chip: Trained on over 13 million speech samples, it performs 4.9 trillion operations per day to filter out background noise while keeping voices sharp.

• Intelligent Focus (Vivia 9 only): This feature uses the AI to prioritize speech from the direction you are actually looking. It’s essentially "eye-tracking for your ears."

• M&RIE Receiver Option: This unique ReSound tech places a third microphone inside your ear canal. It uses your ear’s natural shape to collect sound, giving you better spatial awareness and wind protection.

• Tap Control: Like the ENZO, you can answer calls or pause music just by double-tapping your ear—no fumbling for buttons.

Power & Fitting Range

The Vivia is incredibly versatile. Because it uses interchangeable "receivers" (the wire/speaker part), it can be fitted for almost anyone.

• Fitting Range: Covers everything from Mild to Profound loss (roughly 20 dB HL to 110 dB HL).

• Power Levels (Receivers):

  • LP (Low Power): 54 dB gain / 114 dB SPL output.

  • MP (Medium Power): 59 dB gain / 116 dB SPL output.

Battery Life & Charging

The Vivia is designed for "all-day AI." Even with the heavy processing of the Deep Neural Network chip, the battery holds up well.

• Standard Usage: Up to 30 hours on a single charge.

• With Heavy Streaming/AI: Roughly 24 hours (more than enough for a full day and evening).

• Fast Charging: A 10-minute charge gives you roughly 3 hours of use.

The Verdict

The Vivia is the "smartest" aid ReSound has ever built. It’s significantly smaller than the ENZO IA but can still reach 130 dB output with the Ultra Power receiver. If you want the most advanced AI features and the smallest possible size, the Vivia 9 is the winner.
