Two AI brains, one hearing aid: say hello to Oticon Reveal

Two AI brains, one hearing aid: say hello to Oticon Reveal

Every so often, a new hearing aid gets launched that makes our ears prick up. This is one of those times. Oticon has just pulled the covers off the Reveal — and it arrives carrying a genuine world first: Dual AI. Two artificial-intelligence systems, working side by side, in something that tucks neatly behind your ear. Allow us to introduce you.

So what actually is it?

Reveal is Oticon's brand-new flagship, and its cleverest trick is right there in the name — it reveals more of the world to you, not less. Most hearing aids chase clarity by aggressively hushing anything that isn't speech. Effective, but it can leave you feeling like you're hearing life through a keyhole. Reveal takes a different road.

The Dual AI bit (the fun part)

Built on the new Reveal AI™ platform, Reveal runs two dedicated AI systems at the same time:

  • Speech AI — the keen one. It's forever hunting down the voices around you and making them crisp and clear.
  • Context AI — the thoughtful one. It holds on to all the other sounds that tell your brain where it is: the hum of a café, birdsong, footsteps, the clink of cutlery.

One sharpens the conversation; the other keeps the world around it alive. Together they hand your brain both the words and the scene — which, as it happens, is exactly how hearing is meant to work.

How's that different from the Oticon Intent?

Fair question — because the Intent (Oticon's 2024 star) was no slouch. Its big idea was 4D sensor technology: sensors that read your intention — which way your head turned, how you moved through a room, whether you were chatting or on the go, and what the acoustics were doing. Genuinely smart — it worked out what you were trying to listen to.

Reveal keeps that brain-first thinking and adds a second act. Where Intent focused on sensing what you wanted, Reveal doubles down on processing it — splitting the work across two AIs so you never trade clarity for context. Oticon's own testing puts the payoff at a 60% stronger response in the brain versus Intent. In plain English: less effort to follow a conversation, and less of that end-of-day listening fatigue.

The rest of the good stuff

  • Reveal Optimizer™ feedback control — Oticon says it's 30% faster at heading off whistling, with up to 25 dB more gain than leading rivals before feedback creeps in. More power, less squeal.
  • Proper modern connectivity — Made for iPhone, optimised for Android, plus Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast (tune public audio at stations, theatres and airports straight into your ears).
  • Hands-free calls and rock-steady streaming on an upgraded wireless platform with better range.
  • Rechargeable, all-day battery, in a discreet miniRITE that sits quietly behind the ear.

When can I get one?

Reveal is available to order from 24 August 2026, across a range of technology levels to suit different budgets. As an independent clinic, we fit Oticon alongside every other major brand — so if you're wondering whether Reveal (or something else entirely) is right for your ears, that's exactly the sort of thing we love helping with.
